Who publishes it

The Sumba Times is published by Eco Beach City, which operates Villa Eco Beach on Sumba. We say so on every page. We cover the whole island, including other hotels, projects and businesses, and we do not report on Eco Beach City's own commercial or legal matters.

Our standards

• Every story is based on named, linked sources: local and national media, official agencies and regency governments.
• We do not invent facts. When a number comes from a single source, we say so.
• No paid placements. No rankings with our publisher first.
• Photos are real and credited with their licence. If we ever use an AI-generated illustration, it is labelled as such and never shows real people, sacred rituals or other hotels.
